What's Next for GM HART?

With Running for the Rescues coming to a close and donations being presented at the Garfield City Council Meeting on Monday, November 25th (at 7:00 PM), the next big thing on the agenda for GM HART is to push forward with becoming a 501C3 organization.

Obtaining our 501C3 will open a lot of doors for us and prove to be beneficial to GM HART and the animals we provide for. With a large donation going to Forever Friends Foundation and The Rescue Inn, we are in need of donations so that we can push forward and embark on the next chapter of GM HART.

If you are able to make a donation, no matter how large or small, please visit the GM HART webpage at www.gmhart.org

Thank you for your support and we look forward to having by our side on this journey!

GM HART Gives Back :)

Ed Jamison, Animal Warden of Garfield Heights and Founder and President of GM HART, took part in two marathons these past couple months (Akron Marathon on September 28th, and the Columbus Marathons on October 20th). His cause? RUNNING FOR THE RESCUES

With GM HART by his side, Ed was able to raise $2,200.00 to be donated between The Rescue Inn and Forever Friends Foundation!!

GM HART will present The Rescue Inn and Forever Friends Foundation with our donation on November 25th at the Garfield Heights City Council meeting. Both groups have provided us with so much help and support with the animals of Garfield and Maple Heights and we are ecstatic to finally be able to give back!

Calling all Volunteers!!

We are looking for a dedicated group of volunteers to help GM HART move forward and reach our full potential.

Volunteering comes in all shapes and sizes, and there is no amount of help that is too small.

Fostering - Fosters are vital to the success of any animal rescue, and to the well being of adoptable animals, while they await their forever home. Fostering costs you nothing (unless you choose to donate towards your foster animal) and it saves two lives; the animal you take into your home, and the one that takes their place in rescue. GM HART is there to support all of their foster families to help make the experience as positive as possible, for both the animal and foster family!

Transporting - Transporters are needed to provide animals with a lift to or from the vet, to their foster or forever homes, to pick up or drop off supplies, to or from events, or wherever the need arises.

Networking/Sharing/Posting - Networking is a great way to spread the word about GM HART, provide adoptable animals with exposure, meet new contacts and groups. We need people to help get the GM HART name and mission out there to the public.

Fundraising - Fundraising is a HUGE part in rescue! GM HART is a non-profit organization, and caring for animals is expensive. We need fundraiser coordinators and volunteers to help with keeping up with the day- to-day and on-going expenses needed to maintan the animals and rescue.

Donations - We are always in need of donations! Whether it be monetary or food and supplies, we can always use donations, large or small.

Sponsorship - If you don't have a lot of time to dedicate to volunteering, or you are unable to foster or adopt, you can sponsor a GM HART rescue animal by making a small monthly donation.

Running for the Rescues - A Great Success!

Running for the Rescues was a HUGE success! We are excited to announce that we made our goal and will be presenting The Rescue Inn and Forever Friends Foundation with our contribution on the 25th of this month!

We couldn't have done it without the generous support of those that believe in us and our mission and we thank you from the bottom of our heart!
